Fox Tale Stud - RUBIYAT colt 2nd in Parfaitment Stakes
Another black type horse for Rubiyat… “Khayyam”, trained by Gerald Delp, in only his second race, was second best in the Parfaitment Stakes on November 2 at Philadelphia Park. Khayyam, a 2007 bay gelding, is by Rubiyat out of Angellic. Angellic has proven herself to be quite a broodmare, producing Espindola, winner of the Blue Mountain Juvenile stakes in 2008, DeesaDiva, winner of the Roanoke Stakes at Penn national Oct 30th and now stakes placed Khayyam…
Dawn Newman of Fox Tale Stud will be attending both the upcoming Fasig Tipton Breeding Stock Sales in Lexington this week. With National sales figures declining, due to our economy, now is the time for breeders to consider upgrading our broodmare bands. The quality of mares that may have been financially out of our reach a few years ago, will now be affordable. Investing in these mares who are in foal to nationally-known, fashionable stallions, (who are proven as sires) , will give that mare residual value. Making the resulting foal eligible for PA Bred status, is a better plan that will help two-fold.
